Benjamin Spillner

Benjamin Spillner was born in Berlin in 1978. When he was seven, he received his first violin lessons at the Berlin Tiergarten music school and continued taking lessons with Ms Anne-Marie Brunner-Vince at the age of ten.

In 1997, he began studying with Ulf Hoelscher in Karlsruhe and took masterclasses with Prof. Petro Munteanu and Peter Eötvös among others. Since 2001, he has been a member of Ensemble Resonanz and concertmaster of the Heidelberger Sinfoniker. In addition to that, he is a frequent guest at ensembles such as Ensemble Modern, Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, musikFabrik NRW, Ensemble Aventure and Ensemble Ascolta, as well as being an avid chamber musician and soloist.
