Tadashi Endo, Butoh
Nika Son, Electro-Acoustics
The »tension«, which Tadashi Endo expresses with extreme concentration and body control, makes his dance a representation of motionless movement. His body rests – even though he dances.
Choreographer and director of the Butoh Centrum MAMU, Göttingen, develops his own Butoh style since 1989. His dance is like a balancing act, between eastern and western cultures and the art forms of theater, performance and dancing. With a minimum of movement he achieves a maximum of tension and feeling, while varying his visual performance.
