A children's concert for children aged 6 and older.
The five members of Ensemble Resonanz tell interesting stories using everyday objects and stringed instruments. Sometimes they chase off pesky mosquitoes, sometimes a sea monster lurks in the depths of the ocean. A staged concert that produces laughter and amazement.
What is music, anyway? Do you always have to sing or play instruments? Does it always need a melody and a rhythm? The participants of today's concert think: no! They think music is in all kinds of things. For example, in cookie jars, raincoats, wine glasses or cardboard boxes. And yes, even in violins. To illustrate this, they have come up with a sequence of musical scenes, each representing very specific sounds and moods. In part, "Sun, Moon and Strings" functions almost like a weather report: sometimes the rain pelts, sometimes the heat shimmers, sometimes it's bone-chillingly cold. There is also a bubbling excursion under water and one into nature, where the birds are chirping. The composer Carola Bauckholt, the director Anselm Dalferth and five musicians from Ensemble Resonanz came up with all this.
